Since 1887, Marburg Show Society has been a long-standing community organisation that runs the annual Marburg Show, featuring agricultural competitions (livestock, produce, arts) and entertainment like fireworks, animal farms, and kids' activities. Beyond the main show, the Society hosts regular dances, Annual Garden and Outdoor Expo, Annual Christmas Carnival, operates a caravan park, manages hall bookings, serves as the home for Marburg Harness Racing Association, SAQ - standardbred association, Belts, Buckles N Boots line dancing (Monday Nights) and Marburg Show Society Arts & Craft Group (Friday Morning) providing year-round community events and facilities.

Members are encouraged to:
- Attend general meetings held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30pm.
- Volunteer at our Annual Marburg Agricultural Show, before the day, on the day and packing up after the event.
- Volunteer at our Annual Garden Expo, before the day, on the day and packing up after the event.
- Volunteer at our Annual Christmas Carnival, before the day, on the day and packing up after the event.
- Help with general maintenance and repairs of facilities at Marburg Show Grounds.
- Help with fundraising which is crucial to ensure the survival, infrastructure, maintenance, and operational success of annual agricultural shows and Community events.
